I love having gel nail colour but hate the removal process, so when I saw the new Miracle Gel nail colour from Sally Hansen I couldn’t wait to give it a go. The hardest decision was choosing a colour. With one eye on the nail colours and one eye on my iPhone looking up colour swatches online, I finally decided Birthday Suit 110 was the colour for me- a lovely natural clean colour that goes well with all outfits.
I apply the Birthday Suit colour in thin layers. This nail colour can go on a little streaky but one way of preventing this is ensuring the amount of nail colour is ‘even’ on the brush. When pulling the brush out of the bottle hold the brush above the bottle and allow the nail colour to run down the brush before painting the nail. Once dry, I then paint an even coat of the Sally Hansen Top Coat. This takes a good 5 minutes to be touch dry. This is where this nail polish is special as I do not have to get my lamp out to cure it, and it dries to a nice glossy shine. The top image has three coats of Birthday Suit. This gives a nice thickness to the nail and allows me to achieve a nice finish. The colour is quite simply stunning and makes my hands look clean and tidy.
The Miracle Gel promises to last for 14 days. I don’t quite get a 14 day manicure but it does last for a good 7 days albeit with a little chip here and there on the tips. This suits me perfectly as I like to refresh my manicure on a Sunday night for the week ahead. The removal process is just as easy as regular polish. No acetone and no soaking!
I love this formula and have bought a few more colours that I will of course swatch for you in future posts.
Have you tried the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polishes? Can you recommend any other colours?
