How excited was I today to come home to a little unexpected parcel from Charlotte Tilbury?! This was made even more exciting as I first read about this stunning new perfume on her website last week. I received a sample size of her new perfume and the cutest little key of attraction charm and ribbon!
Scent of a Dream is the first perfume by Charlotte Tilbury. With Kate Moss as the face of the scent and prettiest dressing table worthy bottle I have ever set eyes on!
What I like about this perfume is that it contains oils that Charlotte has been personally wearing for years. This adds a personal touch to the product. I also love the thought process behind this perfume. The idea that perfume can attract others and change the energy of people around you by reacting with your bodies pheromones!
The secret behind the formula is a blend of top notes including lemon, peach and black pepper, floral heart notes and a base including hedione, ambroxan and fire tree. It also contains Iso E Super, a fragrance addition that I find utterly irresistible.
So, what does Scent of a Dream smell like? Utterly stunning! I sprayed the perfume onto my wrists and the scent initially was very fresh but developed into a lovely warm scent that really is like nothing else I own. Which, for a perfume connoisseur is quite something!
This perfume is a real head turner and (I’m sorry Mr Bank Manager) I will definitely be purchasing the full size bottle which launches on Charlotte Tilbury online on August 15th and nationwide on September priced at £49.00 for 30ml. I can’t wait to enjoy this perfume on a regular basis!

Nothing screams luxury quite like Jo Malone. From the sumptuous packaging to the beautiful scents, it really is hard to find something I don’t like about the brand.
I fell in love with this scent after my Mum was given it for Christmas. I found myself becoming quite addicted to the unusual warm notes, and finding it had a strangely calming affect on my mood during the day. I therefore decided to treat myself to a bottle at Jo Malone online. I have bought online from them many times before and always find the service spot on. Delivery is quick and the perfume is well packaged including the tissue paper, box and bag so you certainly don’t miss out on the little extra touches by buying online.
My new favourite scent is Amber & Patchouli from the Cologne Intense collection. This perfume combines the opulence of amber and the exotic union of sensuous patchouli. It gives a supple, suede like finish and is wonderfully warm and seductive.
Amber & Patchouli is a unisex fragrance suitable for every day use. Some people say this scent does not offer longevity, however when I spray this behind my ears I can still detect a hint of the scent up to when I next wash my hair.
This is a delightfully sophisticated scent, and has become my new go-to favourite. It is a very unusual scent, and one that will not linger after you have left the room but one that will be detectable to people you are near to. It is a warm fragrance that is slightly woody, deep with a hint of spice.
Amber & Patchouli is priced at £105.00 for a 100ml bottle. It is expensive but utterly worth the splurge.
You can purchase the scent here.
Have you tried a scent from the Intense Cologne collection? I would love to hear your thoughts!

There is something quite luxurious about wearing a perfume from a relatively small perfume house that is not readily available on the high street, and something even more luxurious when you wear it knowing it was the perfume of choice for the Duchess of Cambridge on her wedding day.
Founded in 2011 by Michael Boadi, Illuminum is a British fine fragrance house making the most exquisite scents with each one consisting of just 8 notes. It is this that really makes this appeal to me. I’m quite particular when it comes to my perfume – as most of us are.
Illuminum White Gardenia Petals perfume first came to my attention when it was confirmed that this was the perfume of choice for Kate. Curiosity got the better of me and I ordered a bottle from Fortnum and Mason.
White Gardenia Petals is described by the fragrance house as being as fragrant as a vase of white flowers, gently quivering in the breeze from an open window. This is a delicate and refined scent – the top note of lily evokes a nostalgic summer ambiance, whilst heart notes of gardenia, Ylang Ylang, lily of the valley and jasmine breeze are sumptuous and feminine. Amber wood underscores this light bouquet.
It really is every bit as beautiful as it sounds. I can see why Kate chose to wear this on her wedding day. It has moderate longevity and is appropriate for a number of occasions. It has a warm clean scent and is very elegant. It is not overpowering yet strong enough to radiate a delicate scent wherever you go.
The perfume comes in a choice of two sizes and is priced at £70.00 for 50ml and £100.00 for 100ml.
A real classic that will stay that way for a long time.
Expensive, yes. Yet it is also delightfully beautiful. And as one would expect, expensive and beautiful make for a very special combination.

Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud Cologne & Velvet Rose & Oud Dry Body Oil
Darkest Damask rose. Rich and textural, wrapped with smoky oud wood. Spiked with clove, decadent with praline. Magnetic.
These are the words used to describe the Jo Malone Intense Velvet Rose & Oud cologne. Queue Pretty Honest’s heart to skip a beat. The description of this scent is truly hypnotic and I can give my approval that it is in fact, beautiful. This scent is not at all cloying – the rose scent it broken with the heavy rich notes of oud.
There was something about the Jo Malone Intense collection that fascinated me. I think the word Intense has something to do with it! I know fragrance experts say you should not leave a trail of your scent in your shadow – but rather allow people to detect it when they get close, but personally speaking I love to be aware of my perfume throughout the day. I use about 4 sprays of this scent and it lasts all day. It is beautifully rich and feminine – I love it!
I love it so much in fact that I treated myself to the Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud Dry Body Oil. This is a spray dry oil that moisturises the body while leaving a delicate hint of the scent.
Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud Dry Body Oil
As you can see the oil gives a lovely sheen to the skin but this is not at all greasy. This dry body oil sinks into the skin, beautifully delivering a reasonable amount of moisture. This will be perfect for warmer months and on tanned skin. I have also had some good results when running any oil residue that is left on my hands through my hair- this not only gives my hair a nice shine but also provides another layer of the scent.
The Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud Intense cologne is priced at £100 for 100ml and the Dry Body Oil is £48.00 for 100ml.
Have you tried any other colognes in the Jo Malone Intense collection? I would love to hear from you.

Escentric Molecules- Molecule 01 Fragrance
Ssshhh…..Can I trust you with my beauty secret? Do you promise to keep it to yourself?!…. I wear Eccentric Molecules Molecule 01 perfume. I like to think of it as my secret because of the reaction I get when I wear it ….people want to know my secret!
Molecule 01 fragrance from Escentric Molecules really is like no other perfume on the shelves. Molecule 01 smells different on everyone . I guess you could think of it as you own personal bespoke fragrance. However, what is different about this perfume is the effect it has on other people – it really is mesmerising. I have had strangers follow me asking me what the amazing perfume is I am wearing. Not everyone can detect my perfume, but the effect it has on some people is quite extraordinary!
Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 consists of one single ingredient, which is known as Iso E Super in the fragrance industry. Its chemistry adapts to the wearer and combines with our natural pheromones to create an alluring scent.
So how do I rate it? Well, on initial application I can’t detect the scent at all. However, after a few hours every so often I get a waft of a beautiful clean scent that disappears as quickly as it appears. The scent also lingers on my coat, allowing me to smell what everyone else can smell at the end of the day – a lovely distinctive warm scent.
I bought the 30ml bottle from Cult Beauty priced at £27.00 (for the refill size). It is also available in a 100ml bottle for £65.50.
Have you ever found that beauty item that is so special you want to keep it all to yourself and not tell anyone?! Well, this is mine…. Ssshhh!

Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey
Sweet and Delightfully playful. These are the words used by Jo Malone to describe my favourite scent- Nectarine Blossom and Honey. There really is something about this scent that uplifts me so I wanted to share with you all a collective review of the products I currently have from this collection. The Nectarine Blossom and Honey scent is quite simply divine!
Pictured above from left to right is the 30ml cologne priced at £40.00, 250ml bath oil priced at £40.00, 100ml cologne priced at £82.00, 250ml hand and body wash priced at £28.00, and finally the 175ml body creme priced at £50.00.
The scent has a top note of cassis, a heart note of acacia honey and a base note of peach. It would be the perfect scent for fragrance layering yet for me it is beautiful enough on its own!
The Nectarine Blossom and Honey scent has a lovely warm lingering note that last all day. Three to four sprays of the perfume is enough to see me from morning to evening however I have bought the smaller 30ml bottle to pop into my handbag and to take on holiday. When in the bath, I like to dispense two to three pumps of the hand and body wash onto a body polisher and find this is enough to lather my body in a thick coat of luxuriosly scented bubbles. For days when I really feel like pampering I like to run a little of the bath oil under a running tap. The golden oil transforms in water to a slightly white milky colour and the scent floats through the bathroom wafting the delicate warm scent throughout house. It does not leave a oily residue in the bath tub so is safe for shower / bath combinations. I like to use the body creme daily after bathing and find this locks moisture into my skin. It is a thick rich cream but does not clog my pores.
Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey Body Creme
This is one of those scents that I find simply irresistible. It really is beautiful. I have the Nectarine Blossom and Honey candle on my wish list…..now that really is the making for bath time heaven!
